New York City: Thomas Keller Culinary Event
A Can't-Miss Foodie Extravaganza
September 27-30, 2018

New York City ranks as one of the top restaurant cities in the world. Scoring a reservation to the city’s top tables can take months, but not if you travel with Exclusive Resorts. We’ve created a culinary tour of the city that gives Members insider access to acclaimed restaurants and top chefs, including cooking legend, Thomas Keller. Though the city boasts 72 Michelin star restaurants, only five of those have garnered three stars each, and you will enjoy VIP access to two of the best during this foodie-friendly Event.

After cutting his teeth at Michelin-star restaurants in France, like Guy Savoy and Taillevent, Chef Keller returned to the US and opened French Laundry in Napa Valley, setting a new paradigm in the hospitality business. Chef Keller went on to open more casual concepts, including Ad-Hoc, Bouchon, and Bouchon Bakery, and in 2004, he debuted Per Se, an East Coast counterpart to French Laundry. He’s become known for creative and decadent dishes like oysters and pearls and for his exacting perfection and attention to detail. He is the first and only American-born chef to hold multiple three-star ratings from the Michelin Guide and the first American male chef to be designated a Chevalier of the French Legion of Honor, the highest decoration in France. Chef Keller has written five cookbooks and will provide you his favorite tips at a private cooking demonstration and kitchen tour before a seven-course meal at Per Se.

New York City is also one of the world’s best walking cities, so the Event includes leisure time to help you work up an appetite - we suggest you explore Central Park, the Museum of Modern Art, or the Highline. Foodies can taste their way through the city’s bustling food halls, such as Eataly, Industry City and Chelsea Market. New York boasts one of the world’s most diverse food scenes and there will be free time to sample Asian food at hotspots like Momofuku Noodle Bar, Mexican at Empellón, Thai at Uncle Boons, and haute vegetarian at Nix. Members will have a private lunch, followed by a cooking class with Zac Young, celebrity chef and inventor of the PieCaken. When people talk about New York City’s most game-changing restaurants, Eleven Madison Park is always part of the conversation. This three Michelin star restaurant, run by Will Guidara and chef Daniel Humm, was named the best restaurant in the world in 2017. Members will get to taste why during a private five-course dinner at the acclaimed establishment. Come hungry, as this trip is all about indulging.

Russia: The World Cup
June 29-July 5, 2018

The FIFA World Cup is the world’s most widely viewed and followed sporting event, exceeding even the Olympic Games. It’s estimated that 715.1 million people, a ninth of the entire world population, viewed the final match of the 2006 World Cup. This soccer mega tournament happens just four times a year and to watch a game live from the stadium is a bucket list experience. Moscow will play host to the 21st FIFA World Cup in the summer of 2018. ER Members have the opportunity to witness a round-of-16 itinerary, including tickets to the knockout stage, which is the second and final stage of the competition.

Catching the match action is the main draw. But, equally as exciting is the opportunity to take in the famous sites of Moscow between the games. ER Members will have insider access to some of the city’s top venues, such as the Bolshoi Theater, where they’ll get a rare backstage glimpse. A privately guided walking tour of Red Square and the Kremlin will provide insight into the city’s fascinating history and unique architecture. One day, Members will take a high-speed train to St. Petersburg, Russia’s second largest city, for a guided tour of famous sites, which may include the Mariinsky Theater and Winter Palace. A multi-course meal at Café Pushkin in Moscow will give Members a taste of Russia’s culinary traditions. Housed in a Baroque mansion, this legendary restaurant on Tverskoy Boulevard serves the historic fare of the Russian nobility, such as dumplings stuffed with mushrooms and sliced whitefish.

Members will have plenty of down time to visit popular attractions such as the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Sin Basil’s Cathedral and the Tretyakov Gallery, and to enjoy the comfort of the Ritz-Carlton® Red Square. The five-star hotel boasts the first spa in Russia to collaborate with La Prairie and a rooftop lounge with sweeping views of the Kremlin and Red Square.
