To Member Experience Manager Stephanie Simons, ensuring each Member experiences only the very best in pre-trip and on-site travel planning and personalized care is at the forefront of her mind. During her fourteen years at Exclusive Resorts, Stephanie consistently goes above and beyond her designated role to better the company and everyone she interacts with on a daily basis.

Stephanie led the first Innovation team, spearheading the design, development, and launch of the first Exclusive Resorts app, which now allows Members to have contact-less check-in, chat with their Concierge, set housekeeping preferences, and more—offering endless peace of mind to Members, especially during this new era of travel. She also formalized our in-destination service standards to help ensure a consistent experience across our entire Portfolio of residences, leading to a new level of consistency in service, something Exclusive Resorts holds in highest regard.

For her continuous contributions, Stephanie was recognized with the esteemed Platinum designation, an award given to exemplary employees who set the standard for service, performance, and attitude—embodying what it means to work and serve well while going above and beyond their call of duty. “I am constantly impressed by her willingness to boldly dive into anything that is asked of her. We would not be where we are today as an organization without her support,” says Jay Wong, Senior Vice President of Member Experience.

Not only does Stephanie go the distance providing outstanding service for her Members, but cares deeply for her Exclusive Resorts family as well. To bring a smile to her colleagues faces, Stephanie has a life-sized cardboard cut-out of Michael Jackson in her home that makes regular appearances during the company-wide 9 a.m. meetings, and sometimes her “I heart MJ” mug shows up as well as we cheers to an employee feat or when welcoming a new Club Member family. Most often her mug is filled with tiny scraps of paper featuring names for the daily theme raffle, of which she is always an active participant. This is just one way Stephanie brightens the days of everyone around her, even from afar.

We’re proud to have Stephanie as part of our team and spotlight her this month. Read on to learn more about Stephanie and her favorite travel experiences.

How long have you been with Exclusive Resorts?

Fourteen incredible years. I worked with (the best) Members for almost nine years in Member Services, wrote and edited content for The Source in Marketing for three years, and for the last two years, I have been a Project Manager working directly with SVP Jay Wong and assisting the entire Member Experience team!

What do you love about working at Exclusive Resorts?

The people of Exclusive Resorts are the best. Whether I am working with Accounting, IT, Member Services, or Resort Operations, my colleagues are what make my day. Every single one of them is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and invested. That makes for a super workday!

And, I maintain a daily focus on our wonderful Members, whose love of travel and loyalty to the Club inspire me to do my best to make things better for them and for my colleagues every day.

Do you have any favorite stories about your time here?

So many memories! I love the camaraderie that happens when we’re preparing a big announcement, like the annual Journeys trips or the Europe 2021 offerings. The entire company chips in to make these a success, and it’s great to watch Members reap the rewards of all that hard work.

What is your favorite place to travel and why?

I love traveling in Europe—trying out a new language, learning how to navigate the metro, and meeting new people. And since I’m a history buff, it’s incredible to see all the places I’ve only read about before. I’m looking forward to spending more time in Italy (Cinque Terre, Sicily, and Puglia are on the list) when it’s feasible again.

What kind of vacation person are you? Beach, mountains, adventure, spa?

I’m a beach girl. You can’t beat looking out at the azure waters with your feet in the sand. Also, I must have my latest book club read and a cocktail at arm’s length to feel truly relaxed!

What’s on your travel bucket list?

I can’t stop dreaming of Antarctica—it’s the last unspoiled spot on Earth. I love the aesthetics of the pristine ice and deep blue sea. The whales and penguins beckon me!
