Glamorous Gaucho Adventure

Uruguay is South America’s hidden gem. The tiny country is often overlooked for its better-known neighbors, Argentina and Brazil, but easily holds its own when it comes to food, wine, beaches and genuine local hospitality. You’ll connect deeply with the country’s past and present on this eight-day horseback Adventure. In native traditions, the horse was a symbol of loyalty, love and freedom. You’ll explore the country’s natural reserves, forests and beaches by horseback. Begin in Punta del Este, the Tuscany of South America, where you’ll explore local wineries and taste the indigenous tannat grape. Sun on the virgin beaches of José Ignacio and dine at Bohemian-chic beach shacks. Experience the authentic gaucho town of Garzón and the food of celebrity chef Francis Mallman as well as an authentic asado, or barbecue.
