Beach Bliss

Nevis is a tiny island – just 36 square miles – in the Leeward Islands chain of the West Indies, but what it lacks in size it makes up in beauty. It is an unspoiled retreat, with incredible flora and fauna and crystal clear waters. Nevis Peak, the dormant volcano the island sprouted from, is responsible for the black sand beaches that join the grey coral and brown sand beaches along the coast. Volcanic hot springs and freshwater springs dot the island, and colorful coral reefs provide some of the Caribbean's best diving.
