Stop in Tossa de Mar, dubbed "Blue Paradise" by painter Marc Chagall, and don't miss the summer house  of Salvador Dalí. Cadaqués, Spain's easternmost town, was a renowned artists' hangout in the early 20th century and is still full of whitewashed beauty.
