La Dolce Vita by the Sea

Arguably Italy’s most scenic stretch of coastline, the Amalfi Coast is a UNESCO World Heritage region lined with terraced vineyards, pastel-hued fishing villages, sheer cliffs and ocean vistas. Its famed coastal road stretches from the port city of Salerno and clifftop Sorrento and in between lie Positano and the town of Amalfi, as well as the mountaintop town of Ravello. Dining revolves around simple, fresh ingredients, particularly seafood. Work up an appetite hiking in the tiny hill towns above the main cities of the coast.
